Vertical blinds have been a Harley Blinds speciality since the early days, when we made them ourselves on Old Mill Lane. They are still our most-asked-for blind, and for good reason.
About our vertical blinds
Few blinds do as much for the money as a vertical. The louvres rotate through 180 degrees, so you can angle out low sun, keep the neighbours from looking in and still let daylight across the room. Draw them fully to one side and the whole window is clear.
They suit wide windows in particular. Patio doors, bi-folds, conservatories and the big lounge windows you find on so many 1960s and 70s Mansfield semis are where verticals do best, because a single headrail can span a width that would need two or three roller blinds.
We bring the fabric books to you. There are hundreds of colours and textures to choose from, from plain linen weaves and soft sheers to blackout fabrics for bedrooms and wipe-clean PVC for kitchens and bathrooms. For offices, schools and surgeries there's a full range of fire-retardant fabrics.

Vertical Blinds: your questions answered
Can vertical blinds go in a bay window?
Yes. We can fit a single curved headrail that follows the line of the bay, or separate blinds for each pane. On the free visit we'll show you both options and which would look better in your bay.
Are vertical blinds old-fashioned?
Not today's. Modern fabrics, slimmer headrails and colours like soft greys, warm oatmeals and deep inks look very different from the office verticals of the 1990s. Many customers are surprised by how smart they look.
Can I get blackout vertical blinds?
Yes. Blackout louvres block light through the fabric itself. There will always be a little light at the edges where the louvres meet, so for a nursery we may suggest a Perfect Fit or roller as well.
